If you have ever wondered whether yoga can help with your ADHD symptoms, then today’s podcast is for you.

Taucha Post, founder of ADHD Yoga shares her journey from frazzled Speech Therapist to thriving yoga teacher. We explore her diagnosis story, her transformation and how she manages her ADHD, now that she has the tools and understanding necessary to thrive.

The Life Changing Magic of Yoga + ADHD

Here’s what Taucha had to say about how the practice of yoga helped her thrive.

“The more I spent time in yoga, the more balanced I felt, no matter how, crazy school was. … I wasn’t always scattered and overwhelmed. I was actually more organized and less stressed.

And then I did my, my master’s graduating project on mindfulness and stuttering and read the actual research on mindfulness. And it made me realize … this is science based. There’s research behind this. This actually has a measurable impact on your nervous system. And I came from like a bachelor of science degree in psychology and I started a PhD in neuroscience. So I love anything to do with the nervous system.

And then I paid even more attention to the other aspects of yoga. I noticed that in addition to medicinal ways of managing ADHD, there are a bunch of non medicinal ways in managing ADHD, which include breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, exercise, all kinds of things that are folded into the package of yoga.
